Laura Rizzardini has completed all but her doctoral dissertation in Sociology. Her fields of special study include adolescents, violence, gangs, and health care. She has taught college courses about conflict management, careers, technology, critical thinking, and social deviance. Her experience in applied research includes ten years in corrections and health care. She is a member of the American Evaluation Association and a board member of the Illinois Drug Education Alliance. In addition, she founded and volunteers for More World Change, an after school program, in partnership with the Chicago Park District. Jena Sendra, B.S., has worked as a caseworker while completing her M.S.W. She has served people with disabilities, juvenile offenders, and women with HIV. She’s soon to spend two months studying in Kenya. Her knowledge and perspective have added an important dimension to our literature reviews, grant applications, and newsletter. As our research associate, Jena also assists with data coding, entry, and cleaning. Jena’s thoughtfulness, work ethic, and pro-fessionalism are constants. |
